11/12/13 March 2016

The Course

The course will follow a structured step-by-step approach allowing students the opportunity to accomplish each stage of this precise art form.  Attention will be given to improving observation of plant structures, and encouraging a scientific approach to the subject.  Teaching pencil skills, understanding perspective and the opportunity to produce a three dimensional image of a chosen subject.  The course and art work will focus on the plants at the beautiful Trengwainton Garden, Madron.  Some of the plants are over 100 years old and form part of the garden's heritage collection.   We will have shelter within a polytunnel so warm clothes and suitable footwear is essential.  Please bring a packed lunch.  Hot drinks provided.
